General Directions:
Begin with properly cleaned and fired 06 bisque. Thin down White
and apply over entire piece to get into all detail. When dry, apply another
smooth coat of undiluted White. When dry, apply Hyacinth Blue in small areas
wiping back for highlights until entire piece is covered. Dampen a soft cloth
with Solvent to wipe back highlights for an overall even look to antiquing.
Spray with Porcelain Mist to set TL.
Technique
1.
Apply Black TL to
cobblestones. Wipe back highlights. Spray. Randomly drybrush a few stones
with Light Gray, Light Umber, Wedgewood Blue and Brick Red. Lightly highlight
with Light Gray. Apply Black Forest to grass and gently wipe back highlights.
Spray. Highlight grass with Sunflower and Tangelo. Spray.
2.
Apply Gold Doe Skin
to house trim. Wipe back highlights. Spray. Lightly drybrush with Vanilla
Ice, tipping into White to further highlight.
3.
Apply Peach Cameo to
siding and inner areas of railings. Gently wipe back highlights and spray.
Lightly drybrush highlights with Vanilla Ice.
4.
Apply Coal Gray to
foundation stones and chimneys. Wipe back highlights and spray. Lightly
highlight with Light Gray with heavier highlights on chimney flue. Tip into
White for further highlights.
5.
Apply 2 coats of
Forest Green to larger windows and trim above doors. Spray. Lightly drybrush
with Artichoke then tip into Vanilla Ice to highlight. Paint corner trims with
Flat Black. Highlight with Glorious Gold then paint nail heads with Shimmering
Silver.
6.
Apply Nubian Brown
to roof, overhang, doors, eaves, porch, 3 odd windows in rear and remaining area
of railings. Spray. Apply a 2nd coat to all areas except
roof, overhang and doors. Excluding areas mentioned, lightly drybrush with
Medium Mocha, tipping into Vanilla Ice to lightly highlight.
7.
For roof, doors and
overhang, apply 1 coat of Brandied Raspberry. Wipe back highlights and spray.
Lightly drybrush with Rose Mauve then tip into Vanilla Ice to lightly
highlight. Drybrush extra on details of doors. Paint doorknobs and roof point
Flat Black than lightly drybrush with Glorious Gold.
