General Directions:
Begin with properly cleaned and fired 06 bisque. Thin down White and apply over
entire piece to get into all detail. When dry, apply another smooth coat of
undiluted White. Allow to dry. Apply Hyacinth Blue in small areas wiping back
for highlights until entire piece is covered. Dampen a soft cloth with Solvent
to wipe back further highlights and an overall even look to antiquing. Spray
with Porcelain Mist to set TL. Reminder: In this technique, sometimes
more than 1 coat of TL is necessary, so the piece must be sprayed between each
coat. Refer to photo for color placements in various sections.
Technique
1.
Apply Black Forest
to the grass, gable end diamond windows and evergreen tree; gently wipe back
highlights. Spray. Highlight grass Sunflower and Tangelo. Lightly drybrush tree
with Jade Green. Tip into Light Gray to highlight and dull down color. Touch

Apply Black TL to
all the cobblestones, walkways, all roofs, doors, chimneys and upper

further. Hinges and handles are Flat Black with a highlight of Light Gray.
4.
Evenly drybrush the
roof with Wedgewood Blue then tip into Light Gray to lightly highlight.
Drybrush the chimney flues, lower criss-cross windows and diamond windows on the
sides of the side door. Trim out windows in White.
5.
The walkway on the
side is evenly drybrushed with Orange Rust. Paint a few stones with Brick Red
then highlight path with Ivory Tusk.

Use 1 coat of White
Cloud for the stucco and sign backgrounds. Spray. Now apply 1 coat of Antique
Ivory. Spray. Evenly drybrush sign areas with Ivory Tusk. Highlight stucco
with same color; then tip into White to lightly highlight. Detail signs as
desired.
7.
Apply 1 coat Nubian
Brown to the wooden dividers and fascia stones. Wipe back; spray. Apply a 2nd
coat to the dividers only; spray. Drybrush the dividers with 2 coats Medium
Mocha. Tip into Light Taupe to very lightly add highlights.

stones and door windows with Light Taupe. Highlight stones with Ivory Tusk.
