This Classic Barn is reminiscent of
many you see throughout the American heartland. Sadly, many are in serious
states of disrepair. Our Barn is a tribute to the American Farmer and is
displayed in all of it's original glory.

- Begin with properly cleaned and fired 06 bisque. Thin SS-135 White with
water to base coat the entire piece making sure to get into all crevices. When
dry, apply a second coat of full strength color. Antique the entire piece with
TL-113 Hyacinth Blue. Use a soft cloth dampened with AC-520 Solvent to wipe
back highlights. Spray with AC-516 Porcelain Mist.
- Apply TL-134 Black Forest to the grass. Gently wipe back some highlights.
Use TL-125 Sunflower and TL-126 Tangelo to add some highlights. Spray. Lightly
dry brush highlights with SS-225 Marigold, then touch into SS-135 White to
further highlight.
- Use TL-004 Black for the stones. Apply 2 coats of TL-129 Coal Gray to the
roof and dirt barn exits spraying between coats. Wipe back highlights with
soft cloth. Spray.
- For the exits and stones, dry brush with SS-23 Mink. Tip into SS-135 White
to lightly highlight. Highlight the roof with SS-130 Medium Gray then tip into
SS-135 White to further highlight.
- Apply 2 coats of TL-123 Holiday Red to the barn siding except
white trims. Spray between coats. Refer to photo as needed. Lightly dry brush
with SS-210 Orange.
- Dry brush several coats of TL-116 White Cloud for trim, eves, window and
door frames. Spray between coats to get full coverage.
- Detail hinges with SS-138 Flat Black, then lightly highlight with SS-130
Medium Gray.
- For the sign on the end of the barn, choose an end and basecoat with SS-138
Flat Black. Using white transfer paper, carefully transfer lettering to barn.
Use 2 coats of SS-135 White for the top and bottom row of lettering and 2
coats of SS-225 Marigold for the middle row of lettering.
