This elegant stone house was built in 1891 by skilled stone masons traveling west. With its sturdy walls and slate roof, it will adorn the streets of Marianville for many generations to come.

1903 Stone House

General:. Base coat fired 04-06 bisque with 2 coats of White Acrylic. Thin first coat with 1/3 water. Using a soft brush, scrub over entire piece, getting into all cracks and crevices. Apply a second coat of White Acrylic full strength. After each application of a translucent stain (TL), spray with Porcelain Mist and allow to dry. This will set the color to avoid smudging.

1. Apply Black Brown to the roof and wipe back. Spray. Apply Hyacinth Blue to entire piece, including the roof, and wipe back. Spray.

2. Paint Blue Smoke, Red Brown and Aqua Patina to random tiles on the roof. Blot, do not rub. Spray.

3. Apply Ginger Oak over all stones including chimneys and base. Wipe back. Spray. Randomly paint stones Toasted Pecan, Dresdon and Red Maple. Use the Red Maple very sparingly. Spray and let dry.

4. Apply Polar White to the corner stones, windows and eaves. Spray.

5. Paint shutters Blue Smoke. Spray.

6. Apply Black Forest to grass, wipe back. Highlight with Sunflower and Red Maple. Wipe back. Spray.

7. Paint sides of dormers Ginger Oak. Dormer window trim is Blue Smoke and Polar White. Flues on Chimney are Black TL. Wipe back dormers and chimney. Spray.

8. Paint basement windows lightly with Warm Gray. Dry brush bricks around basement windows with Vanilla Ice. Paint front door with Blue Smoke. Paint door frame and porch roof frame with Polar White. Dry brush the blue on the door with Vanilla Ice. Spray.

9. Paint doorknob and kick plate with Gold Magic Metallic. Spray.

10. Dry brush random stones with Dark Gray Blue, Vanilla Ice, Wedgewood Blue, Clay Pot, Rustic Brown, Flat Black. Dry brush entire piece very lightly with Vanilla Ice. Spray entire piece and let dry.

1903 Stone House

1. Apply Black Brown to entire piece and wipe back for shading. Spray.

2. Apply Black TL to house stones. Wipe back for shading. Spray and allow to dry.

3. Apply Coal Gray to brick corners and center bricks. Then apply White Cloud and wipe off. Spray.

4. Apply a mixture of Red Brown with a small amount of Tangelo and a small amount of Sunflower to the roof for highlights and depth.

5. Paint stones of house randomly with Black TL, White Cloud, Coal Gray and Sable. Allow to dry, wipe back and spray.

6. Paint shutters Pacific Teal. Wipe back and spray.

7. Paint chimney flues gray with black centers.

8. Apply White Cloud to windows.

9. Apply Black Forest to grass and trees. Highlight with Sunflower and a small amount of Red Brown. Wipe back to desired effect and spray.

10. Apply Pacific Teal to door and wipe back. Paint doorknob Flat Black.

Dry brush steps with Medium Mocha and dry brush with Eggshell to highlight.

11. Pillars are dry brushed with White Acrylic.

Dry brush roof trim in White Acrylic.

12. Apply Flat Black to basement windows for depth. Dry brush White Acrylic around the windows. Spray entire piece, let dry.

* People, lamp posts, and other props used for photography are not available in ceramic molds.

Note: If you find a color that is discontinued, ask your Mayco distributor for a suitable replacement.
